Historical currency converter by date
Convert an amount on a specific date using FxFeed's daily exchange rates. No API key is needed. Save the requested date, actual rate date and result for your records.
How to convert an invoice on a specific date
- Enter the invoice amount and its currency, then choose the currency you need.
- Choose the date required by your accounting policy.
- Convert and check the rate date. Download the CSV to keep the inputs and calculation together.
The calculation is amount × rate. For example, a hypothetical USD/EUR rate of 0.92 turns 100 USD into 92.00 EUR. The tool fetches the available rate for your selected date.
Weekends, holidays and missing rates
The default requires a rate on your exact date. If you enable the fallback, the tool chooses the most recent available observation on or before that date, no more than 7 calendar days earlier. It never uses a future rate. The result displays both dates so a fallback is visible.
Coverage and rounding
History starts in 1999 for some currencies; each currency has its own coverage and gaps. Both currencies must have data for the rate date. Check historical currency coverage and our data sources. The amount is multiplied by the displayed decimal rate, then rounded to the target currency's decimal places; exact halves round away from zero. FxFeed reference rates exclude bank fees and payment spreads. Use the date, source and rounding policy your accounting or tax rules require.
